Obituary of Rachel Catharina Joris

Suddenly, on Thursday, July 27th 2017, Rachel Catharina Joris, beloved fiancée to Richard (Bobby) Tusch, and mother-to-be of their first child, passed away at the age of 26. Rachel was the loving and vivacious daughter of Rudi and Sheila Joris and daughter-in-law of Richard and Lori Tusch. Sister of Courtney (Bryan), Tara (Craig) and Todd Joris and William (Natalie) and Georgia (Carl) Tusch. Proud Aunt of Alan, Kaitlin, Andrew, Braeden and Jameson. Cherished niece of Frank (Helen) Bennemeer, Henri Bennemeer, Joanne (Wade) Huffman, Linda (Dennis) Booker, Sonia (Hector) Breiter, Ingrid (Graham) Chivers, granddaughter of Corrie Bennemeer. Predeceased by grandparents Jan Bennemeer, Casey VanDorp, and Roger and Catharina Joris. Rachel will be missed deeply by countless cousins, dear friends, extended families and much-loved dog, Bronson. Rachel was born on November 3, 1990 in Strathroy, Ontario. She was always a lively, beautiful, kind, and passionate person, never hesitating to pursue her interests and try new things. She truly found her calling in nursing a few short years ago and became certified as a Registered Practical Nurse in June 2017. Rachel had plans to practice mental health nursing. The family extends sincere thanks to the dedicated staff at Victoria Hospital, the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Department, and other first responders. Heartfelt thanks also go out to friends, neighbours, and community members for their thoughts, prayers, and support. An informal visitation will be held at Caradoc Sands Golf Club, 24500 Saxton Road, Strathroy on Sunday, July 30th, 2017 commencing at 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 4:30pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Rachel’s honour to the London Health Sciences Foundation-FEMAP (First Episode Mood and Anxiety Program), in support of their vital work. Arrangements entrusted to DENNING’S OF STRATHROY, www.denning.ca. “You go no more on your exultant feet, Up paths that only mist and morning knew, Or watch the wind or listen to the beat Of a bird’s wings too high in air to view, -- But you were something more than young and sweet And fair—and the long year remembers you” - Edna St Vincent Millay
