Obituary of Doris Alberta Robotham

 It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Doris Alberta Robotham in her 85 year. Beloved wife of the late George Robotham (2005).  Only child of the late Edna (McInroy) and Lorne Murray.  Dearly loved and special cousin of Diane and Tom McIntosh and family, Marjorie Whytock, Anna McCoskery, Ila McInroy and Marguerite Cuddy. Special friend of Norma Vaughan, Tammy Lockwood and Gramma Doris to Lidia Lockwood, Teresa and Albert Soares and Earl Hunter. Grandmother of David and Jamie Robotham.  Survived by many close friends, cousins, niece and nephews.  Doris was a loved and respected school teacher in the community for over 30 years. Many of us knew her as Miss Murray our kindergarten teacher. She was a long standing member of the Strathroy United Church and sang in the choir for well over 60 years.  Doris was a member of RTO and WRTO for many years.  She was on the RTO social committee as well as the poinsettia team which deliveres poinsettias to 85 yrs and over retired teachers. She will be sadly missed this year as it is Wednesday, our visitation day.   Family and Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY 519-245-1023 on Wednesday, November 29th from 6-9pm. A funeral service will be held at Strathroy United Church on Thursday, November 30th at 11:00 am with Rev. Abiel Khalema officiating.  Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery.  Special thanks to St. Elizabeth, Norma Vaughan and Tammy Lockwood for their loving care of Doris in her home.  Also thank you to the VON drivers who took Doris to her appointments in London. Special thanks to SMGH, Parkwood and Victoria Hospital for continued care in the last months of Doris’s life.
