Obituary of Nova Bender

Surrounded by love at LHSC University Campus on Friday, February 10, 2012, Nova Ann Bender (Pritchard) of Ailsa Craig, in her 76th year. Beloved wife of Merlon Bender for 54 years. Loving mom of Rebecca Bender of Nairn and Brad and Tammy Bender of Port Stanley. Cherished grandma of Meagan and Matthew. Dear sister in law of Dorothy Bender, Hilda Bender, Elmina Christner, Edith Bender, Helene Eicher, Hilda and Harvey Roth and Delmer Bender. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Vola Pritchard, as well as sisters and brothers in law Willis Bender, Elmon Bender, Louis Christner, Edna and Floyd Boshart, William Eicher and Lauretta Bender. Nova will be dearly missed by many family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Nairn Mennonite Church, 26459 Bear Creek Side Road, Ailsa Craig, on Monday from 5-8 p.m. The funeral Service will be held at the Nairn Mennonite Church on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Rev. J. Arthur Sheil officiating. Visitation will also be held 2 hours prior to service time. Interment to be held at a later date in the Nairn Mennonite Cemetery. In memory of Nova, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Nairn Mennonite Church. Arrangements entrusted to the T.Stephenson & Son Funeral Home, Ailsa Craig.
