Peacefully, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Betty Jean McLenon (nee Tofflemire) passed away in her 90^th year, to be reunited with her husband John Sr. Betty was a loving mother to Jeanne (Ernie) De Jeu, Susan (Leonard) Hardy and John (Robin) McLenon. Caring grandma to Matthew de Jeu, Rebekah de Jeu, Travis Hardy (Amanda), Skylar Hardy (Tiffany), Olivia McLenon and Daniel McLenon (Delaney). Loving great grandma to Lydia, daughter of Skylar. Betty was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, John Sylvester McLenon. She was also predeceased by her parents George and Mabel Tofflemire and siblings Edward, Donald, Clarence, Alfred, Violet and Shirley. Survived by brothers Jim and Murray Tofflemire.

Betty was born and raised in Kingsville area, moving to the Strathroy area to the 4^th of Caradoc and 20^th sideroad, then to the farm on the 7^th of Caradoc. Here with her husband John, she raised their 3 children. As time marched on, they decided to sell the farm and move to Mt. Brydges, After a few years in Mount Brydges and the passing of John Sr. she moved to her current home at Twin Elms.  There she lived, walked miles and made friends with many neighbours. Betty was the “phone caller” lady, asking about her grandchildren, their jobs or school and making sure everyone was good.

Friends and family will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on January 31^st, 2022 from 11:00 – 1:00pm with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
