Stankus, Charles J. “Charlie”
It is with profound sadness the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Charles J. Stankus on May 10th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and neighbours, at the age of 79. Beloved husband and best friend of Carol Carroll-Stankus of 25 cherished and special years. Loving father of Michelle Teno, Ken (Simone) Gelinas, Jennifer Stankus, Charlie Jr. Stankus, Steve (Lesley) Carroll, and Brad (Debby) Carroll. Proud Papa/Pops of Dylan, Olivia, and Kailey, Mitchell, Charles, Kasey, Tyler (Hailey), Matthew, Noah, Brycen, and Kanen. Cherished Great-Papa of Delaney, Veronica, and Andi. Charlie is survived by his sister Ruthie Adams, his brother Anthony Puzara, his aunt Adele Stankus, his many cousins and extended relatives. Predeceased by his parents Charlie Stankus and Sophie Puzara (Stankus) and his step-father. Also predeceased by his uncle Alfonse Stankus.
Charlie was a dedicated greyhound bus driver and he drove truck for many years. He was passionate for the outdoors, fishing and boating. Charlie was well known for signing off saying “cheerio”, it is not goodbye, but see you again.
As per Charlie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of Charlie’s life at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to DENNING’S OF STRATHROY.
