Obituary of Don King

It is with profound sadness the family of Don King announces his passing on June 10, 2022 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital in his 89^th year. Loving husband of Shirley King for 66 wonderful years. Cherished father of Stephen and Diane. Predeceased by siblings Stewart King, Margaret Philan and Pauline Mitchell.

Don started his career in the automotive industry and then later switched to refrigeration and air conditioning. Don and Shirley founded the company King’s Pure Ice in 1980 and worked up until the last few years. Don enjoyed working in the community always making time to chat to his customers. He liked to keep busy, always puttering around. Don and Shirley loved to travel and have been to many places together.

A private graveside service will take place Strathroy Cemetery. As an expression sympathy, donations to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital or The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entreated to DENNING’S OF STRATHROY.
