My deepest condolences to the family. I always enjoyed chatting with Ernie whenever he came into our store. He was always a gentleman with a quick wit and an interesting story. He was such a generous man. He shared with us Xmas cookies and samples of his bake apple jam and his slushy recipe, from his beloved Newfoundland. He is greatly missed.
Even though i don't know Ernest, i drove his youngest son; my long time friend Blake (Kate), and Blair who i met to the service where i also met Emily. I gave condolences to his friends & family and donated $100 to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
I have warm memories of Ernie & already miss that, spoke to him just the night before his recent procedure & will miss those conversations. Sam went to see him in hospital but is away & not able to attend the visitation with me.
