Obituary of Harrison Andrew MacDonald

Harrison Andrew MacDonald was born and passed away peacefully in the arms of his family on September 21st, 2022. Beautiful baby boy of Josh and Michelle MacDonald. Harrison spent his short time on earth surrounded by all the love that his family had to give. Josh and Michelle held him together until he took his last breath, alongside his loving grandparents, Susan and Kevin Mackay, and Kim and Paul MacDonald. He was absolutely perfect.

From the moment Josh and Michelle found out they were pregnant, Harrison’s arrival was anticipated by his incredible circle of grandparents, his aunt Jessica (Chris), uncle Adam (Arianne), aunt Kaleigh (Laura), aunt Shawna, his many cousins, friends, and furry dog siblings Fable and Sadie, whose lives he touched greatly and by whom he will be missed deeply. He is greeted in heaven by many family and friends who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms and hearts. Named in honour of his grandpas, Harrison Andrew’s legacy will live on long after the short time that he spent with us.

Michelle and Josh would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to their midwives Kristi and Meg (Talbot Creek Midwives), who they could not have navigated this unimaginable loss without, and to Dr. Banner and the nursing team at Victoria Hospital, who provided them with incredibly compassionate care when they needed it most. They will be forever grateful for the endless support they have received from family and friends, and they take great comfort in knowing that Harrison’s memory will be held in the hearts of so many, forever and always.

A private celebration of Harrison’s life will take place on September 28th, 2022. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation. This would be appreciated by the family.
