I first met Derek while he was living at home with his mom Lilly. Derek was always so engaging and polite. Even though our meeting was brief in life, I was so saddened to learn of his passing. At 48 you never expect to say goodbye and somehow I really felt that Derek would survive. When Lilly called to tell me Derek had passed, I was so shocked and saddened. Lilly had spoken about Derek and his brother Chris from the time I could remember and everything Lilly did in life was for her 2 boys. Lilly was always there for her children and did everything she could to help and protect them. Derek you were loved very much by so many people. May peace be with you.
