Just found out about Willie’s passing. I knew Willie from the age of 10 - 59. The last 20 years from just walking my dogs past his home and if he was outside would always wave and say hello. When I was young, I babysat the oldest child, sorry, it’s been a long time, I can’t remember which one that was. His presence in the neighbourhood will be sadly missed. A small group of us heard about him going past his home, one last time and we stood waiting to share this time with him. He was a nice, kind man.

We will miss his music in the neighborhood so much. Chats with him were always entertaining.

I knew Willie well especially back in the day working behind the kit of my dad's band "Silver Strings and Brass" then on to bands like Kilo. A wonderful passionate character who was fun to be around RIP sir......

So sorry to read about Willie's passing. We had many great conversations in my video store, often with his grandson. We would chat in front of his home on Princess Street often surrounded by his beloved dogs on my way home from my store. Willie was a huge soul with a big heart who so dearly loved his children and grandchildren. He lit up a room like no other. I never saw the man without a smile on his face. I loved walking past his home late at night listening to the drums. He always sounded great. Willie will be dearly missed. My sincere condolences to Willie's family and friends.
