Obituary of Janet Elizabeth Habib

Born May 6, 1935 at Long Creek Queens co, NB. Eldest daughter of the late Arthur and Eretta McLean. Married James Shaw in 1955. They had two children James “Jimmie” and Elizabeth “Libby” Shaw.

Janet Habib passed into the arms of the Lord on January 6^th, 2023 at LHSC – Victoria Hospital, London, ON. Janet leaves behind to mourn her daughter Elizabeth (Dan) Armstrong and stepsons Michael and Martin (Nicole) Habib. Cherished grandma to Aaron and Meghan Shaw, Amy Nowlan, Kaylee Armstrong, Jacob and Maya Habib. Janet will be fondly remembered by her brothers Douglas and Talmage (Elva) McLean and sisters Eleanor Kierstead, Flora Murphy and Shirley Lavoie. She will be missed by daughter-in-law Kelsey Shaw-Gorman, sisters-in-law Doreen (Ron) McLean, Marlene (Bill) Bellows, Jeanine (Walter) McLean, uncle Douglas Kierstead and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by Husband James Shaw, son Rev. James Shaw, husband George Habib, brothers Ronald “Ron” McLean, William “Bill” McLean, Walter McLean, John “Jack” McLean, Sisters-in-law Diane McLean, Almeda (Jack) McLean, brother-in-law Walter Kierstead and sister Anna (Norman) Cunningham.

As per Janet’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
