Obituary of Lucy Elisabeth Daase

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Lucy Elisabeth (Hoffmann) Daase, surrounded by her devoted family at Strathroy Hospital on August 27, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Edmund Daase (1994).

Lucy will be lovingly remembered as the cherished mother of Eric Daase (Melody) of Mt. Brydges and Christa Ward (Dave) of Strathroy. She was a proud grandmother to Cindy Wendorff, William Daase, and Jennifer, Ryan, and Michael Ward, and a devoted great-grandmother to Torsten, Eric, Teo, and Kobus Wendorff, and Hailey and Lucy Palmer.

She was the dear sister of Herman (Otti, predeceased) of Owen Sound, and the late Bruno (Emmy) Hoffmann of Waterloo. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the friends and staff at Seasons Retirement Community, as well as the nurses, doctors, and support staff at Strathroy Hospital, for their compassionate care.

A private family burial will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, followed by visitation at 1:00 p.m. and a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Denning’s Funeral Home in Strathroy, ON.
