Obituary of Hazel Dolbear

Peacefully 13 days before her 85th birthday, Hazel Irene Dolbear (Phipps) at Craigwiel Gardens on Monday, May 28th 2007. Dear wife of Albert F. Dolbear for 64 years. Loving mother to Kay Knight (Roy) of St. Thomas, Gail McLeod (Bill) of London, Doug Dolbear (Pat) of Parkhill, Lynne Desjardine & her fiance Ivan Herrington of Grand Bend and Louise Dedman (Merritt) of Kitchener. Dear grandmother of Michelle, Melanie & her fiance Bryan Lidster & Mike Knight; Shawn, Jennifer McLeod & Scott Mills; Kirk, Brian Dolbear (Krista) and Angela Dolbear; Jason & Simon Desjardine, Justin (Crissie), Todd, Trevor, Jilayne, Khira Dedman. Proud great grandma of Andrew & Geoffrey Dolbear. Hazel was an R.N.A for 25 years at Victoria and St. Joseph's Hospitals in London. She was a 4H club leader and a volunteer for Citizens On Patrol in her Denfield community and was involved in many church groups. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W, Strathroy, on Thursday, May 31st from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Pam Tolmay officiating. Interment in Glencoe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Society, Thyroid Foundation of Canada, Ailsa Craig food bank or the charity of your choice.
