Obituary of Mary Tweddle

Tweddle, Mary Lenore (Dorman) - was cradled in the lap of the Lord on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Ritz Villa in Mitchell, Ontario with family by her side. Meeting her in heaven are her loving husband Milton, parents Howard and Estelle (Trevithick) Dorman, grandson Kyle, brother-in-laws Ken and Harvey Tweddle and Bruce Steeper, sister-in-laws Eleanor (Tweddle) Steeper, Lola (Turner) and Bernice (Vernon) Tweddle. Mary was very proud to have had seven children who will cherish her memories forever, Doug and Pat (Baker) Tweddle of Strathroy, Barry and Barb (Taylor) Tweddle of Ailsa Craig, Linda and Lawrence Lockhart of Bayfield, Bill Tweddle of Ailsa Craig, Jim and Marcia (Richardson) Tweddle of Mitchell, Ann Tweddle and Bill Phillips of Denfield and Carol and Keith Murray of Ailsa Craig. Mary was also blessed by grandchildren Tammy, Nolan, Jason, Jody, Lori, Mark, Jessica, Lily, Caleb, Matthew and Joel, as well as many great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her only brother Jack Dorman and sister-in-law Shirley (Heaman) of Ailsa Craig. Mary was a wonderful storyteller and historian. In her younger days she loved to play piano and to attend dances. She enjoyed living on the farm and spending time with her family. Mary will be sadly missed by everyone but her memories will certainly live on with the stories she shared. Visitation will be held at T. Stephenson & Son Funeral Home, 171 Ailsa Craig Main Street, Ailsa Craig on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Mitchell officiating. Interment later in spring in Mars Hill Cemetery. In memory of Mary, donations may be made to the M.S. Society or charity of choice.
