Obituary of Sybren de Boer

Peacefully and in calmness of soul, Sybren de Boer of Strathroy, in his 85th year, left this world with full assurance of his heavenly Father's welcoming love, on June 8th, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Esther de Boer (2006) and survived by wife Ida Kroesbergen. Loving father of Orval and Yvonne de Boer of Sarnia, Margaret and Harry Knip of Exeter, Tony and Marian de Boer of Exeter, and Andy and Chris de Boer of Baden. Stepfather of Jerry (Sharon), Fred (Dorothy), Tom (Marcia), Bill (Jane), Dorothy (Adrian), Rita (John), John (Christine), Trudy (Dave), and Marvin (Josephine). Proud granfather of Jocelyn, Jolene, Chantel, Jilleana, Cherisse, Joshua, Nathan, Aaron, Adam, Stephanie, Ryan, and Danielle. Cherished great-grandfather of 16. Step grandfather of 40 and step great-grandfather of 28. Survived by siblings Frances (John) Smeda and Jerry (Mary) de Boer. Predeceased by his brother Henry and survived by sister-in-law Diane de Boer. Visitations will be held Tuesday, June 10th, 2014 from 7-9p.m at the Strathroy East Christian Reformed Church, Strathroy. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday June 11 at 2p.m with two hours visitation prior. Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery.
