Obituary of Richard Woods

WOODS, Richard Stewart - January 30th, 1947 - June 9th, 2014. Passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family and shrouded in peace and love after a 6 year heroic battle with multiple myeloma, lung cancer and COPD. His astounding profound courage and tenacity against all odds transformed all those who witnessed his journey. Remembered by and sadly missed by devoted wife Karen. His children Gillean (Robert), Matthew, Kristin (Mark), Adam and his grandchildren Victoria and Vanessa and several nieces and his nephew. Rick was owner and CEO of Mel Hall transport for 39 years. He loved his boats and Trans-Ams but his greatest achievement in life was to love deeply and be so deeply loved. Special thanks for the outstanding compassionate care from Dr. Maria and Dr. Octavian Tetelbaum, Dr. Joshua Shadd, Dr. Cyrus Hsia, Dr. Dwight Meullen, the P.S.W.'s and nurses from St. Elizabeth and VON and CCAC and the staff at the London Regional Cancer Centre.
