Obituary of Raymond Evan Denning
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Raymond Evan Denning of Strathroy on Thursday December 11, 2014 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of the late June Denning (2010). Dearly loved friend of Shari Faryniuk. Loving father of Julie Denning of Brampton, Jayne Pratt (Roland) of Westfield, Pennsylvania and David Denning (Carolyn) of London. Proud Grandpa of James and Jonathan Pratt, Andrew and Liam Denning. Much loved brother of Shirley Martin and Marilyn Townend (Bill) both of London. Survived by his mother-in-law Joyce Giles of Strathroy. Brother-in-law of Joyce Phillips of Corunna, Jack and Linda Giles of Dutton. Loved Uncle of several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Evan (1982) and Alta Denning (1994). Ray was a member of Ionic Lodge #328 Napier for 51 years and Past Master in 1973. He was a member of Strathocha Shrine Club and a life long member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Kerwood. Ray retired from Pollock Truck Rentals where he made many lifelong friends. Ray loved spending time boating and fishing in Port Glasgow in the summers and the Florida Keys in the winters. He will be greatly missed in our lives and leaves many wonderful memories we will always cherish. Visitations will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy. A Masonic Lodge Service will be held at 6:30p.m. A funeral service will be on Monday, December 15th at 2 p.m with interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Kerwood. Online condolences may be made at denning.ca.
