My husband John and I had the privilege of meeting Roland in the eighties in Matapedia Quebec. He was a very interesting person, a great conversationalist
and un bon vivant! He will be missed by many, including us. Rest in peace Roland!

A donation has been given to the Canadian Cancer Society (NB Branch) in memory of Roland. Here is a poem written by Mary Frye (circa 1932):

There is no peace in the valley. He is one with others he has loved and moved on.
Remember to always keep him in your thoughts…
I am saddened of the loss of your dear father, Jane and to those that held him also close in heart.
Although I am not one to know him well, I am sure that you Jane are a great reflection of his time, love and energy too.
