Obituary of Joan Irene Galbraith

Joan Galbraith passed away peacefully at Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia on Monday, July 20th, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Duncan Galbraith (1970) and special friend Dieter Saile (1994). Cherished and treasured mother of Linda Mason (Bob Restemayer) and Michael Galbraith. Beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Herbert (1938) and Celine (1972) Bourn, sisters Kathleen (1984) and Marjorie (2009) and nephew Ray Thornton (2002). Joan lived the first 80 years of her life in Strathroy and in later years moved to Grand Cove Estates in Grand Bend, On.Joan’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful staff and volunteers at Vision Nursing Home and Rest Home in Sarnia where she lived for the last 3 ½ years. Special thanks to Dr. Liam Gannon.Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 25th, 2015 from 10 – 11 am at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 34 Head St., N., Strathroy followed by a memorial service at 11 am. Interment Covenanted Baptist cemetery, Mayfair. If desired, memorial donations to the Strathroy Humane Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
