Obituary of Mathew Aerts

Peter “Mathew” Aerts of Denfield, in his 88th year, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 6th, 2015. Mathew was born in Maasbree, the Netherlands and came to Canada in 1953. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Min (Wilhelmina Janssen). Cherished father of Teresa Blackmore (Vaughn), Hugh Aerts, Anthony Aerts (Elaine) and Mathew Aerts (Patricia). Beloved papa of Megan (Tristan), Chelsea, Evan, Colin, Graeme, Cameron, Elisabeth, Adrian, Owen and Joshua. Also survived by 2 sisters in the Netherlands, Lies and Riek and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Louise in London and sisters and brothers, To, Mie, Nel, Til, Pete and Lei of the Netherlands. Relatives and friends will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Monday, August 17th, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers will be recited at 6:45 pm. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 11 am at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy. Family interment to follow at All Saints cemetery.
