Obituary of Gladys June Stanley

Peacefully passed at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 27th, 2015, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Petrolia, Ontario. June was in her 75th year. Beloved wife of the late William Stanley (July 3, 2007). Loving mom of Sheree and Stew Vanderveen of Kerwood, Kevin and Pam Stanley of Sarnia, Laurie and Tom Viar of Loganville, Georgia, Candie and Lyne Stanley of Strathroy, Deanna and John McCauley of Kerwood, and Angela and Eric Gerguson of London. Cherished grandma of 34 granchildren and 34 great grandchildren. June will be missed by many sister and brother- in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Left behind is her best friend Kathy Minard of Sarnia and friend Marge Hopwood of Strathroy. Predeceased by her parents Edgar Lucas and Clara-Bell (Nutt) Lucas, grandchildren Aimee, Noah and Ryan, and greatgranchildren Hannah and Mary, and siblings Wesley Lucas and Alice (Alderton) Lucas. Friends and family will be received at Denning’s of Strathroy on Friday October 2, 2015 from 12 p.m until the time of service at 1p.m. Bill Denning will be officiating the service.
