Obituary of Murray Frank Reginald Hounsell

Passed away peacefully on January 6th, 2016 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Beloved husband of Marjorie “Marjo” (Sawtell) for 64 years. Loving father of Linda (Ted) Garside of Strathroy, Stephen (Gail) Hounsell of Iona Station, Trevor Hounsell of West Lorne and Michael (Dorothy) Hounsell of Delaware. Dear grandfather of Rachel( Jason) Canning, George (Kaitie) Canning, Jonathan (Kristen) Canning, Maxine (Russ) Prestipino, Melissa (Richard) Begin, Stephanie Hounsell, Jessica (Dean) Foreman, Alan (Hanna) Hounsell and Laura Hounsell. Will be missed by his eight (8) great grandchildren. Leaves behind his sisters; Pam (Donald) Short of California, Valerie (Rod) Degaust of Embro, Joyce (Ralph) Pettit of Belmont and Margaret (Wayne) Ward of Embro. Murray will also be missed by his many, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Irene Denise Hounsell and brother Brian (Mary) Hounsell of Thorndale. In respecting Murray’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 16th, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Strathroy Legion (266 Metcalfe Street West, Strathroy). At the family’s request, donations to the Heart and Stroke will be appreciated.
