Dear Family I have always been grateful for Uncle Gerry's kindness to me, from the time I was small he included me in sleep overs with Peggy Ann and later ensured that our family was included when Leonard and Mark had their special events. Most of all I remember Uncle Gerry staying with us when my Mom, Dolly passed away at Sunnybrook hospital. We all stood together in a circle of family as she slipped away. I know that she loved her baby brother and it meant so much to us that he and Mark made time to be with us and dropped everything to stay with us during that trying time. Later in July of 2001 and he made a point of once again dropping everything because his niece (me) and her family were in town overnight. He came to our hotel and wished us bon voyage as we departed for our new home with NATO in Italy. I am so sorry that we didn't get another opportunity to say good bye. My best wishes to all the family of this very dear man.
