Obituary of Dieter Woerz

Woerz, Dieter “Peter” Peacefully passed on April 7th, 2016 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital at the age of 72. Beloved husband of June Woerz (nee Parker). Loving father of David (Brenda) and James (Amber) of London. Proud Opa of Talon, Ashleigh and Delilah Woerz, Taylor and Gordon McIntosh. Survived by his sisters Margrit (late Carl) Schaum and Ilse (Ray) Jones, mother-in-law Laila Ogg and sister-in-law Barbara (Gerry) Haumann. Predeceased by his parents Julius and Anna Woerz. Peter will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Canada and Germany. Peter immigrated to Canada in 1960 from Germany to London. After 10 years in London, he purchased McGuire’s Barber Shop on Adelaide Street and in 1979 he purchased East Town Barber Shop, both of which he was very proud. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10th, 2016 from 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m at Denning’s of Strathroy. A funeral service will be held on Monday at Denning’s of Strathroy at 1p.m. Interment to follow at 4th Line Cemetery, Strathroy.
