Obituary of Petronella Maria Hofsteede

Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge with family by her side on Friday, March 24th, 2017; Petronella “Nelly” Hofsteede of Strathroy passed away at the age of 94. Loving wife of the late Johannes Hofsteede (1982). Dear mother of Cornelia Churchill, Leonarda (John) Jackson, Joanne (Manuel) Ferreira, Mary (Terry) Widdis, Cornelius (Greta) Hofsteede, Edward (Betsy) Hofsteede and Ronald Hofsteede. Cherished grandmother of 32 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Survived by her siblings Leonard (Toni), Peter (Tera), John, Betsy (John), Maria, Hubert (Helen) and Bernadette. Nelly will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her daughter Dorothy (Dave) Cann, granddaughter Terry-Lynn, sister-in-law Gertrude and brothers-in-law Paul, John, Tony and Adrian. Visitation will be held at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Sunday, March 26th, 2017 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. CWL Prayers at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, March 27th, 2017 at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at All Saints Roman Catholic Cemetery.
