Obituary of Howard Aitkenhead

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, January 9th, 2017; long time LOBO resident James Howard David Aitkenhead passed in his 80th year. Born to the late William G and Marjorie Aitkenhead in Biggar, Saskatchewan. Loving father to Jennifer (Allen) Matheson, Jody (Michel) Leboeuf, Janice (Marc) Ethier, Findlay (Melissa Pemberton) Parrott-Aitkenhead and Joshua Parrott-Aitkenhead. Cherished grandfather of his 5 grandsons. Survived by his sister Jean McQuiggan and the mother of his boys Hillary East. Howard will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his wife Gale Messeroll, brother Walter and sisters Florence Gilbert and Sheila Kain. Visitation will be held at the Strathroy Legion-Sir Arthur Currie Branch 116, 266 Metcalfe St. W, on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at 3 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Howard’s Life at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
