Obituary of Linda Clancy

Surrounded by her family, at the age of 62, Lynnda Faye Clancy (nee Harris) of Hungry Hollow Rd., Arkona, passed away Sunday September 23, 2012 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital after a very hard fought courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Alexander (Sandy) Harris and the late Jean Harris (nee Mullin) of Red Bank, New Brunswick then Brantford Ont. Beloved wife and soul-mate of Daniel Clancy, "Mummy" of "Copper" and baby "China" , step mother of Mark (Tanya), Ryan (Nicole) and Char (Jeff) Hamilton. Dear sister of Lana (Larry) Squizzato and Sandra Harris (Allan Knight). Step- sister of June (Harry) Ducker, Elaine Burkett and the late Darlene (Connie) McKinnon . Much loved daughter- in-law of Marilyn and Edward Clancy. Sister- in-law of Lynda Posma and Brian and Mary June Clancy. Dear aunt of Amanda, Step-aunt of Jamall, Hayatt, Samarr, Daryn, Cari, Tara, Corey, Hans and Jack. Cherished step- nana of Elizabeth, Callum, Aidan and little Alexis Elizabeth. Lynnda's successful career as a registered nurse began with her training in Woodstock Ont. She then worked at the National Defence Medical Centre in Ottawa and finished her career in 2005 at London Health Sciences Centre (University Hospital) , first in ICU, then as an OR nurse on the Neurosurgery team with the late Dr. Charles Drake. The family would like to thank Dr. Steven Welch, Bonnie and the rest of the staff at LRCC and all the wonderful caring staff at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. At Lynnda's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers , donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society for Sarcoma Research. She will be missed so much by so many.
