Obituary of Harold Westgate

Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy on Friday, April 6, 2012, Harold Richard Westgate, in his 91st year. Predeceased by his wife Helen (Eagleson) in 2004. Loving father of Leonard and Judy (Thompson) Westgate of Strathroy, Barbara (Ross deceased 2009) Prangley of Blenheim, Denniss and Barb (Dodge) Westgate of London. Loved grandfather of Darryl Westgate, Debra and Gil Paquette; Sherri and Jeff Saunders, Heather Prangley, Darren and Linda Prangley, Jason and Erin Prangley; Shannon Westgate and Jon Southen, Jeremy Westgate, Jennifer Westgate and Farid Elejel, and Joshua Westgate. Proud great-grandfather of Rachel and Monica Saunders; Avery, Alivia and Leah Prangley; and Matilda Southen. Survived by his sister Marjorie Foster of Watford and sister-in-law Marg Eagleson of Ailsa Craig. Predeceased by his parents George and Gertrude (Newton) Westgate and his sister Gloria Patterson. Family and friends will be received at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St.W Strathroy on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Julia Sinclair officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. In memory of Harold, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation.
