I didn’t know Steen at all, but judging by the condolences and lengthy chat I had with your mother, Shirley, this afternoon, it’s abundantly clear that he was a great man whose life influenced others in a deep and positive way. I especially liked hearing that he loved planting trees and they did well under his excellent care. I was married to a man who also shared that passion.
I am so deeply and terribly sorry for your loss. Words alone seem empty at a time like this and I wish I was there to give you a hug.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Steen over the past 30 years. He would always put a smile on my face with his quick sense of humour. For once I am at a loss of words! We will never forget that smile or look he would give when he was questioning what you were saying! Those long kayak rides at the cottage or walks that never ended.
