Obituary of Elizabeth Konyu

Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, Elizabeth Konyu (Oarasi) passed in her 106th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband John, as well as her daughter Mary (John) Szintai and her son Bill. Survived by her daughter-in-law Anne Konyu as well as her grandchildren Mary-Ann (Mike) Langille (Szintai) of Mt. Brydges, John (Corina) Szintai of Belmont, Marianne (Peter) Laroche (Konyu) of Kitchener, Larry and Michael Konyu of Toronto, Nancy Konyu (Tim Payne) of Barrie, Bobby (Sue) Konyu of Vancouver, Elaine Hill (Konyu) of Austrailia, Diana (David) Hodges (Konyu) of Birmingham, and Linda Reaume (Frank McQuire)(Konyu) of Kitchener . Cherished great-grandmother of Jennifer, Cassandra and Christine Langille, Elaine and Erica Laroche, Jean (David) Carisse and Kathryn Konyu, Jonathan and Samantha Konyu, Monica (Nabe) Watanabee and David Hill. Great-great grandmother of Jacob and Nicholas Carisse , Noah, Elli and Luca Watanabee and Matthew Hill. Dear aunt of Nick (Mary) Konyu. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Friday from 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Father Lucio Couto officiating. Interment to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mt. Brydges. In memory of Elizabeth, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
