Obituary of Joe Reis

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph “Joe” Marcus Reis on Sunday, July 14th, 2019 at the age of 70. A beloved husband, a proud father, grandfather and son-in-law. Joe was a passionate lawyer who dedicated his life helping the people in his community. When not acting as a lawyer, Joe spent his days golfing at Caradoc Sands trying to get that hole-in-one. 

He will be dearly missed and never forgotten by his wife of 19 years Janice. He was well loved by his children Marc, Jeanette (Mike) Lewis, Jannet and Jeremiah Honsberger. Vavu of Emma, Simon, Nora, Isabella, Gavin and Austin. Survived by his brother Paul and sister Lucy (Jerry) Lopes, his niece Liz (Tony), and nephews Mike and Thomas. Fondly remembered by his associate Shelley Hagemann, his in-laws Janet (Roger) Rivet, George Alderton, Maggie, Mary, Nancy (Lou), Elizabeth (Rein), Rob (Tracey), along with his many friends, colleagues and Bufa the cat. 

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life at 3 p.m. A private interment to follow.
