Obituary of Ida Helen Gordey

Ida Gordey, age 87, passed away peacefully on September 29^th, 2019 at Sprucedale Care Centre. She was predeceased by her husband Nick Gordey and is survived by daughters Debbie Jakab and Diane Filipov (Rob), sister Elizabeth Angyal and nephew Brian Angyal (Micki).

Ida loved playing cards and doing crafts and will ever be remembered for her good cooking and quick wit. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family memorial later.

The family wishes to express deep thanks to the wonderful staff at Sprucedale Care Centre for their attentiveness and caring during Ida’s stay there, and to those who offered support to the family after Ida’s illness. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
