Obituary of Janice Yvonne Schalk

It is with great sadness that the family of Janice Yvonne Schalk announces her passing on Thursday, October 17^th, 2019 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Bert Schalk. Loving mother of Laura Martin (Mark Monteith) and Kristen McNeil. Proud grandmother of Devin and Ally Martin; Spencer, Morgan and Connor Byrne. Cherished great grandmother of Porter. Survived by her siblings Sharon Young, Mona (Doug) Lewis, Gwen (Dan) Kerslake and Douglas Penfound. Janice will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Bernice Penfound and son Christopher Van’t Voort (1963).

In keeping with Janice’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Monday, October 21^st, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will take at DENNING’S on Tuesday, October 22^nd, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment in Poplar Hill Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
