I am so saddened to learn of this. Cindy is the most amazing person I have ever met. Her indomitable spirit through the difficulties she faced in life, and her overcoming of all of them with such a positive spirit. I really can't express my true emotion at learning this. The music in the video tribute is perfect! I wish her family to receive my sincere condolences and sympathy for their loss of such an amazing light in life! I am privileged to have known her! Cindy is one of the few people of whom I was truly in awe. Her positive outlook on life and sense of humour were exceeded only by her love for her family. How she lit up whenever she talked about them. Cindy was so active and independent I would often forget she was sightless. Her fight with illness is over. The void she leaves behind is significant.

Cindy was such a wonderful person! I have warm memories of working with her and appreciate all she did with the peer support groups for CNIB. What a wonderful photo of her! Please accept our condolences on the passing of a great woman. Faced with many challenges in her life, you would never know it from her strong, courageous and unfailingly positive attitude. She was grateful for the blessings of her family. Earlier this year I had a chance to see her after many years and get a photo with Jim and Shirley and her brother Tom. Dearest Sarah Andrew Scott & Jeffrey, I have such fond memories of your mother* Lou & I met Cindy thru our daughter, Heather and Sarah's high school volleyball team. We and the other parents were the team’s biggest fans! And we became friends. On one of the weekend tournaments, Cindy suggested we start a travelling dinner evening -going from house to house for the different courses- so delicious & so so much fun! The last year of volleyball, Cindy Patti & I were the coaches!!! We so enjoyed the annual Christmas Open House. The house was beautifully decorated and great food! And nice to meet all your Mom & Dad’s group of friends. Then there was ... tap class!! A wonderful number of women, were taught by Wanda, to tap dance!! Lots of exercise and laughs! Over the years, our paths no longer crossed which I regret. Cindy was such a vibrant woman in her actions, looks and personality* We are leaving today to BC to visit our son & family. I am sorry I will not be able to give all of you and the rest of the family our deepest sympathy and many hugs. Lou and I will be thinking of you , especially these next few days. All my love, Mary
