Obituary of Beatrice Kathleen Feick
It is with great sadness that the family of Beatrice Kathleen Feick announces her passing, peacefully on Sunday, December 1st, 2019 at Strathmere Lodge. She was 81 years of age.
Beatrice loved country music, treasuring her extensive collection of country music LP albums. Realizing her lifelong dream of visiting the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville was truly a great experience for her.
Beatrice loved getting dressed up in a nice outfit, putting on some jewelry and having her hair done for many social outings and at various day programs in the community.
Beatrice also enjoyed sitting in Bob and Claire’s living room in her special armchair with her word search and a cup of coffee, looking out the window at the birds and squirrels or watching her favourite mystery show.
Beatrice will be remembered by those close to her as someone who cared about others, was quiet, thoughtful and a very gentle, amazing lady. Her lovely smile and her quick sense of humour will be missed.
Beatrice enjoyed living with Bob and Claire at different points throughout the years and became close with their friends and family, including their children and grandchildren and Claire’s sisters, nieces and nephews.
Beatrice is survived by her siblings Mary (Doug) Pittock, Betty (Harvey) Shaw, Sharon (the late Richard) Flood, Shirley Melnyk, Jim Feick, Robert (Claire) Feick and Ken Feick as well as many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Walter and Catherine Feick, brother Milton (Barbara) Feick and sisters Bracie Feick and Dorothy (Jerry) Youngson.
The family would like to thank the team at Strathmere Lodge for all the love and care shown to Beatrice during her stay there.
A private graveside service will be held in Avonbank Community Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be left online at www.strathroyfuneralhome.com. Arrangements entrusted to DENNING’S OF STRATHROY (519) 245-1023.
