Van Bavel, Johanna (Anne) - Suddenly at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Sunday, May 30, 2010, Johanna (Anne) (Vinken) Van Bavel, age 79. Predeceased by her husband Tony Van Bavel (2001) and John Van Lierop (1955). Dear mother of Harry Van Bavel and Marian Spitters of London, Harriet Van Bavel and Eldon McClenaghan of Kingston, Joanne and Ron Zavitz of Strathroy, Marilyn and Steve Smith of Elmwood, and Fred and Pam Van Bavel of Strathroy. Cherished Oma of Connor Van Bavel of Kingston, Bianca Van Bavel of London, Ruby McClenaghan and Colin McClenaghan of Kingston, Becky and Shay Knight of Listowel, Monica and Dave Verberne of Strathroy, Jill Zavitz and John Artuso of Strathroy, and Megan Van Bavel and Brent Van Bavel of Strathroy. Also dear great-Oma to Jesse, Dylan and Jayden Knight, and Sarah and Lindsay Verberne. Dear sister of Mary (Joe) Berkvens of Nova Scotia, Leen (Arnold) Verwegen, Jan (Nelly) Vinken, Anna (Piet) Slegers all of Holland and sister-in-law of John Van Bavel (Josephine 2010) of Watford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral home on Thursday, June 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 with Parish Prayers at 1:30 and Catholic Women's League Prayers at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints' Roman Catholic Church on Friday, June 4 at 11:00 am. Interment in All Saints' Roman Catholic Cemetery. In Anne's memory, contributions to Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital (where Anne spent so much time as a volunteer) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Rest well, Mom. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Anne.
