We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Thelma. She, Norm and my parents (Nora and Peter Lyons) were such close friends and enjoyed so many parties, square dancing, fondues and laughs over the years in Ottawa. They were such a special part of our lives growing up and there was always so much excitement when we knew they would be coming over. Thelma was always so beautifully dressed and looked like royalty to us. Thelma and Norm lovingly followed each of our lives from our graduations, to marriages to the birth and milestones of our own children. There was always a b-day card for each of our children in the mail from the "Granny Smiths". How she kept up with all the dates we have no idea! We are thinking of you all at this difficult time and will treasure the many memories we have of Thelma forever. Catherine, Nancy, Janet and David Lyons, Ottawa x0x0

Thinking of you all at this most difficult time. I enjoyed every moment I got to spend with your Mom/Grandma. I will miss our chats about life, love, old times & the Royal family. My fondest memories of her involve her bragging about her grand & great grand children, hearing about her travels & life/love with Norman, how she always was dressed so beautifully with her hair done & make up on (especially needed her lipstick) & the day a scammer decided to call her and she proceeded to play along with the caller for a while before eventually telling him off lol She was sharp witted & so kind. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Please know my thoughts & prayers are with each one of you.
