Obituary of Janet Lovell Lawson

Lawson, Janet Lovell (Nee McIntosh) Peacefully passed surrounded by family members on March 13th, 2020 at the age of 97 at St. Joseph’s Hospice of London. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Lawson (2006). Loving mother of Ted (Erin) Lawson, Kelsey (Judy) Lawson, Jennifer McFadyen (Jeff Silver), and Mary Jane Lawson (Andy Johnsgaard). Proud grandma of Kyle, Kate (Will), Sonja (Graeme), Justine (Ryan), Amy, Lauren, Aurora (Buck), Solvey (Nibesh), Knute, and Annie. Cherished great-grandma of Taya, Kyzak, Caspin, and Akina. Survived by her siblings Wilma, Bessie, Isabel, Edith, Stewart, Katherine, and Joanne. Predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Marion McIntosh and by her siblings Marjorie and Sarah. Janet served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. Janet led an active life with many interests and hobbies such as Scottish Country Dancing, theatre, playing the piano, and travelling to name a few. Throughout her life she made and enjoyed many friendships. Janet will be sadly missed by her many friends at her last home at Seasons Retirement Home in Strathroy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18th, 2020 from 11:00a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. Interment to take place at Carlisle Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice of London or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The Funeral Service will be live-streamed on Denning’s Facebook page.
