Obituary of Franziska "Frances" Krebs

Franziska (Frances) Karola Eleonore Krebs (nee Goertz) Born Bad Honnef, Germany July 7, 1930. Passed away April 4, 2020 Strathroy, ON at the age of 89 (three months to her 90th birthday). She leaves behind her son Roland, daughter Monica (Alex) Lamothe of Mount Brydges, 3 grandchildren Norman (Emily), Patrick (Chloe), and Nicole (Ryan). As well as 8 great grandchildren, Noémie, Alec, Max, Leo, Sawyer, Zoé, Isaac, and Beckett. She also leaves behind nephews and nieces in Germany and Canada. She will be missed by long time friends Karin, Mally and others in Europe, Canada and indeed around the world. Frances lived a good life. She was a journalist during her career with a German Magazine, travelled to many countries, until settling in Vineland, ON for many years and then finally in Mount Brydges/Strathroy area. She had a special place in her heart for the young people of Uganda which she helped and supported over the years. Frances will be remembered for her excellent cooking skills, generosity, determination for getting things done, patience and caring for her son Roland who always had a special place in her heart.
