Obituary of Phyllis Evelyn Froude
Froude (Parker), Phyllis Evelyn Joyce, nee Tedball
Peacefully passed at Strathmere Lodge on April 17th, 2020, in her 96th year. Phyllis was born in Thedford, Ontario to George W. Tedball and Rhema E. (Gratton) Tedball on November 11th, 1924. Predeceased by her first husband Gordon Parker and by her second husband William (Bill) Froude. Dear mother of Mary Anne Dunn (late Stuart (Pete) Dunn), Patricia (Doug) Ashmore and Stephen (Norma) Parker. Predeceased by her brother Glendon Tedball and survived by a half-brother and half-sisters. Also loved by grandchildren Bonnie (Charlie) Milhomens, Robert (Elissa) Dunn, Daniel (Jody) Dunn; Laura Whitehall; Melissa Parker (Brian Maier); Anne Parker and 16 great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. Loved and remembered by Bill’s daughter Eleanor Zaranik and her family and step mother to all Bill’s children and grandchildren.
Phyllis was a long term resident of Kilworth (London) Ontario where she raised her family. She always had a smile, was non-judgemental and her sense of humour was beautiful. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved babies and could not wait to hold a new grandchild. She will be missed.
Arrangements entrusted to Denning’s of Strathroy. A burial of Phyllis’ cremated remains will be at a later date and attended by her family. Special thanks goes to the staff of Strathmere Lodge where she was so well cared for by those she called “her girls and guys”.
In memory of Phyllis, donations can be made to the Strathmere Lodge Auxiliary or your charity of choice. Online donations and condolences may be left at www.strathroyfuneralhome.com
