To the family of Lena Reid,
Please accept our condolences on the passing of your mother. Your photos show that she lived a long and fulfilled life. I have happy memories of occasions when Lena and George entertained the young peoples from Caradoc Zion and Mt. Brydges Baptist Churches after skating parties at the Strathroy Arena. Lena was cousin to my father.

To families of Mrs. Lena Reid and her twin predeceased her 2.5 weeks ago. I am the baby sister of predeceased Colleen Lucas who was Mrs. Oggs roomate(Lenas twin sister ) at Strathmere Lodge.. as I read n keep up with the obits keeping up our family genealogy, I came across the sad news. So my sympathy to you all, twins are inseparable, as my sister Colleen too has twin daughters, that live in Wawa in the North they when visiting Strathmere Lodge right up until my sisters death last year were interested in knowing Colleens room mate too was in fact a twin.
Coincidentally I worked with Mrs. Froudes daughter Mary Ann Dunn at McFarlan Rowland’s insurance but I work n live in a Dorchester... so my condolences to her at this difficult time as well. My heart goes out to the Dennings whom I had the privilege of having a tour of your lovely facility at the time of Colleen Lucas’s funeral, n my brother a Roger Hamm..you people are miracle workers n u make everyone feel so comfortable. Keep up the great work, the young lad that spoke at Roger Hamms funeral who was his neighbour in a Dutton I will never forget, he’s a gifted child.

What a lovely memory video. Especially with the twins playing in the background. I remember visits to aunt pearl and uncle Allen who lived next door to George and Lena. They would be my great aunt and uncle. Twins must have been in the Wilton family. I had aunt Doris and Uncle Don. Then the McLean twins and I think there were twins in my grandmother Ethel Cobban’s (sister to aunt pearl) family. Fond memories of growing up. The Reid Families: Our heartfelt condolences to everyone. I first met your Mom at Strathmere Lodge. I was a student at the time. We had a lot of fun and many memories while helping the residents. Sending a big hug to embrace the entire Reid family from the Noyes family. Lena and George were the best friends anyone could ever wish for. Lena was like a second mom to me and yes, she did make all of our wedding cakes. She had the kindest heart. The greatest smile. I can still hear her exclaiming "Oh George" when your dad would tease us. May she rest in peace. Love from us to you.

What a wonderful photo video of "Aunt" Lena. It brought back a lot of memories for me. My mom was lucky enough to join Aunt Laila and Aunt Lena and George for a trip to Hawaii.
