To Carol and Don and family. So sorry to hear of Ken's passing. I first met Ken when he worked for a time at E.J. Wright's office. We volunteered for few years with Junior Achievement and had many learning opportunities with the young students. When Ken and I were volunteering with 1st. Strathroy Scouting, we helped raise funds by bringing up a full tractor trailer load of Florida oranges and grapefruit each year for sale to Strathroy citizens. Ken also was instrumental in helping to operate an annual cultural exchange program with scouts in Scotland that occurred over a number of years. Ken kept in touch with scouting after his days as a cub leader by presenting a trophy to the Best Cub each year at our annual banquet, and through the Optimists, presented awards to members of the Best Six.. Ken looked forward to these annual get-togethers with the kids and to reminisce with scouters.
On behalf of all the families at 1st. Strathroy Scouts, we will miss Ken's visits.

In so many ways, in Strathroy and beyond, Ken Feaatherstone will be remembered for his numerous commitments to volunteer.
Thank you Carol and family for sharing Ken with so many organizations, many of which served the youth of our communities.
As a past District Governor for the Southwestern Ontario District of Optimists International, Ruth Stevens and I extend to the Featherstone family, our sincere condolences on the occasion of his passing. We promise to live up to the high standards of governance and accountability to our youth for a better tomorrow that was always part of every conversation with Ken.

I was always able to have a good chat with Ken. Whether it be in passing at the grocery store or while planning the all candidates meetings. He definitely had the community's best interests at heart and was passionate about people's right to vote and more importantly for people to educate themselves before they vote. Thank you Ken for your service to the community.

Joe and I would like to express our sincerest condolences to Carol and her family at this difficult time. Ken and Carol were our sponsors into the Eastern Star 8 years ago. Their enthusiasm and commitment to the Eastern Star was quite evident as they loved to travel and visit other Chapters. Ken always had a big hug for me when I saw him and always asked how I was doing. He will be missed by his Star family.
