Aunt Mary Joe always talked about her family. She worried more for everyone else than herself. Loved her children more than anything in the world. Was very loving and caring to my uncle John and took very good care of him. May you rest in peace until we meet again. You’ve earned your wings. Love you aunt Mary Joe. PS thank you for helping me find grandma‘s grave site. I took about an hour but we did it over the phone together. Thank you.

Mary Jo was not only a mother, guardian and cheerleader for her own family, she was all of these things for anyone who walked through her door. She was full of forgiveness and acceptance and loved unconditionally. Whether it was 3am, or 3pm, no matter the reason - if you knocked on her door, or called her phone she answered and sat with you.
Until we meet again, she will always be remembered for her huge smile and honest heart. For the amazing unapologetic truth and honesty she embodied, and for the strong, empathetic and fiercely loving family she created.
Thank you for applauding my successes, challenging my mistakes, and always accepting me as I am - especially during those most “exploratory” years of my life! Rest easy - you made this world a better place.
