From Scott & myself we want to send out condolences to the entire Black family.
Aunt Doreen was one-in-a-million. Never again will I meet a woman with such a contagious laugh and the ability at every family dinner to have us all in tears (good ones!). We're so thankful for all of the family occasions we've shared over the years including this past Christmas (attached photo). Her ability to share a story will be missed.
Love,
Steph (and Scott) Durnin

Sending condolences to the family. Jim, I have to giggle when I think about running in to you and your mom at the cemetery this summer. We had a lovely socially distant visit. The two of you were eating your lunch, your mother was sitting on a tombstone. Cherish the memories. Patti MacNeil (Pettigrew)

Sending condolences to the family. For years my dad (Glenn Watson) worked with Doreen at Ontario Hydro. She and Harley became friends with both my parents. My dad passed in 1990 and in 2017 Mom moved into Seasons Strathroy. Doreen and Harley made her feel welcome and continued their friendship. When Mom passed this past June, Doreen did her best to be there for our family....even within the Covid restrictions. As one of the longest residents at Seasons I know her smile will be missed. I know I'll miss seeing her when we visit from Alberta.

Deepest condolences to Jim, Steve and families. Our time on Colbourne Street always included visits to your Mom and Dad’s place! They were like grandparents to our two kids and were actually Brianne’s godparents. I always enjoyed our trips to Huron Country Playhouse, giggling all the way there and singing all the way home. She was a wonderful friend to my Mom, Jennie at Seasons the last couple of years. Your Mom will be dearly missed by all who knew her! Lori & Brent Clarke
