Eric;
My condolences on the passing of your sister. Although I didn't get to know her very well, she was very friendly and gracious in our encounters at the Hoover homestead.
Hope that all is well with you and the family. If you have some spare, drop me a line
It would be nice to catch up,
Barney Samways

My deepest condolences to Larry and all he family of this wonderful woman...I remember Una was one of the first women that I met at North Caradoc St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. She had such an authenticity and gentleness about her. She was always keen to support any church projects and had a special interest in helping the children. She always wore a beautiful smile, spoke with kindness and lit up any room she entered. She will be sadly missed but forever in the hearts of many. I am so grateful to have known her. Peace and Blessings

Una was my closest colleague (literally) in the next door portable classroom for about 20 years. We shared many laughs, tears, challenges and a-haaaa moments. Her love of people and especially children overflowed everyday. I told her she wasn’t allowed to retire as we’d miss her so much. It was such a privilege to enjoy her frequent company at our retired teacher’s luncheons and I can still hear her infectious laugh. We often shared our faith and I am so comforted that I’ll see her again on the other side of heaven some day. Huge virtual hugs to Larry and the entire family.

I was so very saddened to hear of Una’s passing. When I first started teaching at Caradoc South in 1988, Una’s gentle smile and unwavering patience and kindness always made me feel reassured and supported — exactly what a new teacher needed. Later, John and I had the pleasure of joining a small book club with Una, Laurie, Peter, and Kelly. Larry liked to join in the banter too. These gatherings generated much discussion and laughter and I feel blessed to have these special memories of such a beautiful person. John and I send much love and prayers to the Langford family during this time of sorrow.

We want to send our deepest sympathy to Larry and all Una’s family. We had such good time at Llano Park in Texas. Una did amazing Swedish weaving and taught many ladies to love doing it. Their Happy Hours in the North end were always great fun. We remember her with great affection. Valerie and Colin.

We want to express our sincere sympathy to Larry and family in the loss of Una.
When we first came to Canada our children started their schooling at Caradoc South and that is when we first met Una. She taught our daughter the beginning of 1988 and our son the following year. She gave them both a very positive experience which helped them adjust to their new environment. We appreciated that very much.
The hand made card she sent me while I recuperated from surgery showed how much she cared for others. S
he will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Our sincere condolences to Larry and family for the passing of Una. Una was a compassionate teacher and educator who shared her wisdom, strength, heart, joy and faith in so many ways by giving her time and energy to community and charity. We loved her creative expression in handmade cards, potluck dishes and craft creations. Remembering her sweet smile and the twinkle in her eye when she gathered with friends or talked about family. Una is missed. Love and prayers from Brian and Carol Huston and family.
