I think of Gary..I think of unending laughter. Summer of 76 in Montreal..with the gang from Bishops where I first met Gary. Many parties and evenings to watch the Habs. My wife Linda recalls sitting at a bar with him and non stop laughing. You will be missed Gary..but the laughs will continue thanks to you.

I first met Gary at Bishop's University in the 1970's. We both liked sports, music and cars. He introduced me to the music of Queen. Thanks Pal. Over the years we would lose touch when one of us moved but we always reconnected. Gary was always quick with a joke or a pun and invariably the group would gravitate to his place which was usually the nicest.
The last time Gary and I talked I was trying to get him to Zoom with some old friends. It was a difficult time so he said that maybe the next time. I really wish that I had tried harder.
Gary was the kind of person that you could reconnect with and it was as if we had spoken last week. He was my friend and he will be missed.
My sincerest condolences to Peggy and the Family.

I am so deeply saddened by the passing of Gary. He was such an important part of making my university years at Bishop's and those early post university years in Montreal so enjoyable. A wonderful sense of humor and I often think back on so many memorable occasions filled with laughter with Gary being at the center of it.
My deepest condolences to Peggy and his family.

Gary was a good friend back in the mid to late ‘70s when we lived in downtown Montreal. We were fresh out of University and enjoying spreading our wings.
Never a day would go by that our “band of brothers” would get together for a bite, a beer and of course lots of laughs.
Gary was always front and centre with his quick wit and dry sense of humour.
I am very saddened by his passing but am comforted by the many fond memories of our younger years.
My sincere condolences go out to his family.

I knew Gary in the early days in Montreal. Although I hadn’t been in touch with him for many years, my memories of time spent with him and our gang of friends there are wonderful. Tears of sadness and of laughter. May his memory be a blessing.
My condolences to his family.

Peggy,
We are heartbroken to lose Gary. He was a true light in our lives. Each time that we had a driveway chat or a visit by the mailbox, we walked away happier and richer for the experience. Gary had a way of looking at things, turning them on their side and finding the positive in everything. His complete and absolute devotion to you Peggy, was what made him shine the brightest. He taught the Sladics family to spread kindness and see the best in even the darkest situation.
He will be dearly missed by all of us. We love you both.
