Is there lemon meringue pie in Heaven grandpa?
Pat & Marlene would often remind me that my home is wherever they are. Grandparents are such a gift. Mine were exceptional.
When I was a kid, I spent more time with Pat & Marlene then sometimes they barganed for. As an adult I know, that was never enough. Pat was not just a family member but an exceptional friend. He’d take me to work. Rescue me for the day and bring me to the farm to hang out with Grammy. And when I needed a friend he was there. I have many memories sneaking baked goods and treats before bed time and watched countless nature & crime shows.
I still watch nature shows before bed. Every night.
When I pour a cup of tea, everyday I am thankful for Pat. I am thankful for Marlene and for the beaming love and memories they’ve shared with us.
Pat, Charlie, Grandpa, Dad- Whatever you call him, I know your hearts bigger because he was a part of your life.
Two forks and some pie. See you again soon.
Love Jenny

My heart is very much broken of your passing Grandpa. My deepest condolence, sympathy and love to Grandma as she has loss her soulmate, life partner and love of her life. I also am sending my love to my parents Pat and Wendy and my dads siblings xo. I have so many wonderful memories that I will cherish in my heart forever. Staying with Grandpa and Grandma out at the farm was my favourite. I learned so much and always had a great time.. never wanted to go home. Being around all the animals is something that has always stuck with me and maybe one day I will have my own little farm. Grandpa used to take me to the barn and had so much patience with me as I wanted to help with everything. He always took the time to show me things and spend time with me. I will miss you so much Grandpa and will continue to keep your memory alive. Love you always and forever xo

I had a lot of great times with my dad. In the last couple years we always sat on his deck and had coffee and some great talks. He could always make me laugh about something. Love you and i miss you already. I will see you again one day and we will laugh and have coffee again xoxo

I met Pat in 1993 working at KSR. Him and I became friends, played alot of tricks on him.
After he retired he would come and visit or I would go see him. Pat and Marlene reminded me so much of my parents, and I loved being around them.
R.I.P my grumpy old friend. Until we meet again... I want one of those big hugs you always gave me when I get there. I love you Pat Dunn.
