Obituary of Derek James Hitchens

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Saturday, January 16^th, 2021; Derek Hitchens passed away at the age of 74. Beloved husband and best friend for 50 plus wonderful years to Pam Hitchens. Proud father of Mandy (Shawn) Eveland, Neil Hitchens and Richard Hitchens (Kim Miller). Cherished granddad of Travis and Tyler. Survived by his siblings Pat, Alan (Zoz), Roy (Janet), Sue (John), Philip (Irene) and Tina (Wally). Derek will be fondly remembered by his many extended family and friends.  

The family would like to thank the staff at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital-1South, Dr. Tim MacDonald and Stephanie from his care team for all their compassion and exceptional care shown to Derek.
