Obituary of Christine Eileen Duval

Duval, Christine Eileen “Christy” 

November 26, 1974- January 20, 2021

 

On January 20^th, 2021 a truly unexpected shock hit the family and many friends of Christy Duval. A brain tumor took the life of Christy. She is survived by her son Terrence and her daughter Breece. Also survived by her mom Linda Clifford, her father Bob Duval, her sister Tammy, her brother Bill, and her sister Samantha. Other family members, her co-workers, residents at Sprucedale Nursing Home, and her many many friends who are also mourning her passing. Christy will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her laughter, her caring of others, and her happy outlook on life.  Christy’s children were her true pride and joy and she would do anything for them. She will be greatly and truly missed by all. Cremation to take place. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. Footprints

 

One night I dreamed I was walking

along the beach with the Lord.

Many scenes from my life

flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed

footprints in the sand.

Sometimes there were

two sets of footprints,

other times there were

one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed

that during the low periods of my life,

when I was suffering from

anguish, sorrow or defeat,

I could see one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,

"You promised me Lord, that if

I followed you, you would

walk with me always.

But I have noticed that during

the most trying periods of my life

there have only been one

set of footprints in the sand.

Why, when I needed you most,

you have not been there for me?"

 

The Lord replied, "The times when you

have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,

is when I carried you."
