My sincere condolences to the family of Jim Hunter. I had the privilege of knowing Jim during my employment at M.T and Jim was truly a great friend to many staff & residents, always brought such a positive energy to the room, eager to help out (you pay a little more for that union...but look at the job you get done) His quotes/jokes ,thoughtfulness, sense of humor and friendship will never be forgotten.

On behalf of the Jez and Newell family(Janina’s daughters), I offer my sincere condolences to you all. Losing someone is never easy but as long as those left behind keep the memories alive the pain become bearable. You are all in our thoughts today as you say goodbye.
I just learned this evening of Jim's passing. I got to know him as I was a cook at his LTC since July 2020. We talked every shift i was on his floor. We laughed and reminisced about Strathroy. I gifted him with balloons and a Strathroy history book for his 80th birthday. He always told me how blessed to he was to have landed at MT and it leaves a hole in my heart knowing my pal Jim is gone. Say hi to my uncle Bev, Jim. This is so nice to read. I know how much my grandpa enjoyed the staff at MT and its comforting to know he made an impact on the staff too. He was a social butterfly and likely knew all the staff and was a friend to many residents. It was a very thoughtful gift from you on his 80th birthday.
When I was just a kid I'd look forward to getting a postcard from New Brunswick from Papa Jimmy, where he lived for quite some time, I will cherish them forever, as I still have them. He was always ready to hear or tell a joke, had a laugh that could get a room laughing too. I'm honoured to have had such an amazing grandfather and friend.
